The Person-Centered Approach

I believe you are the ultimate expert on your own life, experiences, and feelings. Because of this, my practice is organic, non-judgmental, and deeply collaborative.

My role is not to give you a set list of instructions, tell you how to live, or position myself as the expert who fixes you. Instead, I offer a warm, genuine, and steady space where you can safely explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences without fear of judgement.

I believe that our unique life experiences shape how we feel, think, and respond to the world today. Often, the struggles we face in the present are not signs that something is wrong with us, but understandable responses to the experiences we have lived through.

Together, we can explore how your past may be influencing your present, helping you make sense of patterns, understand yourself more deeply, and uncover your own strengths and resources.

While person-centered values remain at the heart of my work, I recognise that every person is different. I aim to work in a way that is responsive to your individual needs, drawing on a range of ideas and approaches where appropriate and always in service of what feels most helpful for you.

Above all, we will work collaboratively to help you gain greater clarity, develop self-understanding, and find a way forward that feels authentic, meaningful, and secure.

Sessions are conducted via video call which are accessed via a Google Meet invitation that is sent to you via email. Simply click on that link and join our booked session.

Each session will last for 50 minutes.

What we might actually do or talk about

People come to therapy for many different reasons. Some arrive with a clear idea of what they would like to work on, while others simply know that something does not feel quite right and want a space to explore it.

As a person-centered therapist, I do not believe that every difficulty requires a specific technique, strategy, or set of instructions. Instead, I trust that each person has an innate capacity for growth, understanding, and change. Our sessions are guided by what feels most important to you, allowing space for whatever needs attention in the moment.

You may be experiencing anxiety, stress, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, loss, life transitions, or a general sense of feeling stuck.

While some therapeutic approaches focus primarily on managing symptoms through tools and techniques, my work focuses on helping you understand yourself more deeply.
